Katie Cowart Katie Cowart studied dance for 18 years and has had the opportunity to perform with several professional dance companies. During the years in which she trained, she was introduced to Pilates as a way to strengthen the core, gain flexibility, and elongate muscles. Katie soon experienced the benefits of training the body in this systematic way. Upon graduating from SUNY Purchase College with a BFA in Dance, she obtained her Pilates mat and apparatus certifications from Power Pilates. Since then she has had the joy of teaching both dance and Pilates in group and private settings.
Jaques Cowart Jacques Cowart was introduced to the fitness world while training on both football and baseball teams. While attending SUNY Purchase College, Jacques studied yoga for two years with Michael Day. After graduating he decided to pursue the passion he had for fitness and become a certified personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise. He specializes in Plyometrics (exercise involving increasing power and agility), sports specific exercises, and cardiovascular training. Jacques also holds a certification in training the pre/post natal client. He has appeared in the international magazine L'Officiel as a fitness consultant.
